Today I wanted to talk about running to the wall (per-say)
What am I talking about you are saying… Well have you ever started something- may it be a new workout or diet plan. A new job or hobby, whatever it may be, and found out it’s to hard or thought I can’t do that or just stopped because you could not figure out what to do it? That’s what i’m talking about here..
Like for instance
I have started a new workout Body Beast to bulk up ( build more muscle ) and it’s very hard. The workouts are intense. I’m lifting heavy weight’s and I’m eating a ton of food. Oh you say- oh eating a ton of food that’s easy. Well i’m talking about healthy food chicken steak veggies, fruits, brown rice, yams, salads, the right fats, and mixing them just right, making sure i’m getting the right carb intake, the right protein intake, amino acids all that comes into play here!
Now that’s not easy by no means. I get so overwhelmed with that. Some days I just want to say the heck with it but I don’t because I know if I keep doing it I will figure it out and it will get easier for me to do it over time. You see it’s doing something over and over again- add a little bit at a time- that will make the huge difference in overcoming anything you do. Just like when you start a new job- oh man that first day is so scary, your so lost on what to do and how to do it. Your nervous and trying not to make a fool out of yourself. Remember that? now you look back and say man this job is easy why was i so worried. Well it’s the unknown we are afraid of but how are we to change or to better our-self’s without trying?
You all Remember Larry Bird Right?
He was one of the best basketball players ever! Do you know how he got so good? Everyday he would shoot 500 three throws before school- Wow right? Its that persistence that will over come anything over time! That’s what matters here. There isn’t anyone of us who got good by just doing something once! Remember that it takes time to get good at anything in life. And that when you hit that wall you just shake it off and try again or find a new way of doing it. Just add one little change at a time and keep on with it no matter what!
So what i’m saying here is that we all hit walls and we all have struggles but it get’s easier over time as we keep doing it over and over. It’s taken me a long time to figure this out- but hey that’s the best thing abut life we each get a new day everyday to try again!
